God of Space runs entirely in your browser. We never see, store, or have access to your Google files, emails, or personal data.
God of Space is a Chrome browser extension that helps you understand and manage your Google storage (Drive and Gmail). It communicates directly with Google's APIs from your browser — there is no middleman server processing your data.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:
When you sign in with Google, you grant the extension permission to access your Drive and Gmail data through Google's official OAuth 2.0 system. The extension uses this access to:
All of this happens directly between your browser and Google's servers. Our servers are never involved in this data flow.
The extension stores scan results and preferences in Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device. This includes:
This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension.
When you use the "Download Backup" feature, files are fetched from Google Drive and packaged into a ZIP file entirely within your browser. The ZIP downloads directly to your computer. No file contents pass through our servers.
Our backend server processes a minimal amount of data required for licensing and payments:
God of Space's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. When you make a payment, you interact directly with Razorpay's payment page. We receive a payment confirmation but never see your card number, UPI ID, or bank details. See Razorpay's privacy policy.
Our backend uses Google Cloud (Firebase Firestore) to store license and payment data described in Section 4. This infrastructure is hosted in Google Cloud's secure data centers.
The extension requests the following Google OAuth scopes:
drive.readonly — Read file metadata for scanningdrive — Delete/trash files you select for cleanupgmail.readonly — Read message metadata for scanninggmail.modify — Trash messages you select for cleanupYou can revoke these permissions at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
All communication between the extension and Google's APIs uses HTTPS encryption. Communication with our backend also uses HTTPS. We do not store sensitive authentication tokens on our servers — OAuth tokens exist only in your browser session.
God of Space is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
